I've chosen to combat the winter blues a hefty supply of floral mints. Violet mints are the most common but occasionally you can find rose flavor like the Flavigny mints pictured here which each contain an anis seed in the center.
The Leone mints are more like candy. I keep them on my dresser and eat them while I put on perfume.
My favorite floral mints are the Chowards violet mints in the foil roll. They are basically violet soaked sugar cubes and they perfume your entire mouth. I keep a case of them in my closet but a single roll will freshen your handbag! Flowers are the new mint.

I can now add "Hipster Girl" to my resume officially, haha. Check me out in the street snaps over on Shervin's World waiting for the subway on the way to a styling job in Midtown. Just one of a load of stops I had to make. Typical NYC day. Busy busy!

Welcome to my new nest. Its a big mess of boxes and clothing right now but it's blossoming a little more every day as it becomes my living quarters as well as my studio. Bubblegum pink walls liven up the mess in the meantime. These days I am piling up my hair and bundling up in faux fur. Working hard all day and exploring in the evening. My life changes drastically from one week to the next right now but having all my belongings in one place finally means a whole lot of great things to come! I can't wait!

Last month I payed a much needed visit to Manic Panic during their big weekend sale which  featured discounts on popular items as well as a couple racks of vintage from the closet's of Tish and Snooky themselves! I took home some a couple hair dye's and some false lashes plus a pair of retro pink silk pants. I also nearly cried when Snooky told me the Manic Panic liquid eyeliner had been discontinued. Was anyone else out there as devoted to that stuff as I was? Nothing else compares.
Tish and Snooky are family friends and I hadn't visited the Manic Panic headquarters since I was 16. It's pretty magical in there and I love looking at all their press clippings posted on the walls. The ladies look beautiful in pink and purple, don't you think? Not only are these women true originals who pioneered one of the worlds first wild cosmetics companies, they are also amazing musicians famous for their unforgettable role in punk band The Sic F*ks throughout the 80's. I've been dying my hair with this stuff for years and after being a blonde for the last several months I'm thinking of adding a hint of color again for winter. Do you have a favorite Manic Panic color?

Here I am a few weekends ago at the Manhattan Vintage Show in my go to casual look October look. Spots, green dress, and a motorcycle jacket. I ran into my friend Ari of Advanced Style and made it on to his feature on Stylelist.com along with the fabulous Lynn Dell who I've been working for for the last month. This event was amazing and luckily they happen often so if you're in town, make sure you you stop by. My finds were a wool plaid school dress, and a black feather hat to add to my feather hat collection! My wish list items were a Mr. John black and white spotted broad brim wool winter hat and a pair of gold metal cat eye glasses from the 50s. Oh if only I had several hundred dollars to blow!
